The Commission on Chicago Landmarks unanimously approved a $575 million renovation to Wrigley Field on Thursday.
Some of the renovation plans include a new video screen in left field and an increase in advertising boards from two to seven. The Cubs have also proposed additional seating, a relocation of the bullpens from foul territory to the outfield and bigger clubhouses.
The team still plans to negotiate with the rooftop owners, who pay 17 percent of their revenue to the Cubs. If negotiations turn sour, however, a legal battle could ensue.
