Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma received some good news from doctors Friday.

A strained finger tendon has Iwakuma well behind schedule this spring, but he can now begin building his stamina over the coming weeks.
The righty is still likely at least a month away from being game-ready, but the news is encouraging for Mariners fans nonetheless.
