Hayes (knee) will start Thursday's game against North Texas, Pete Thamel of ESPN reports.
Analysis:As expected, with Hayes looking good for Thursday, Week 5 will mark Hayes' return from a two-game absence stemming from an ankle injury. It prevented his immediate redemption from a tough start to his 2026 season, most defined by an equal number of touchdowns and interceptions, both one. However, Tulsa's team looks like it believes in his promise to build on last season, when he logged 2,158 passing yards and a 12-6 TD-INT ratio in the passing game. So, ideally for the Hurricane, he can get right on back quickly.
