Boston Red Sox radio broadcaster Will Flemming tore into Jazz Chisholm Jr. on Sunday after the New York Yankees infielder stole a pair of bases late in a one-sided game.
Flemming suggested Red Sox relief pitcher Jovani Morán should plunk Yankees catcher Austin Wells, who was at the plate while Chisholm stole second and third base in the eighth inning with New York up 7-1. Chisholm now leads the American League with 40 steals.
"Wouldn't you like to see Morán drill Wells here?" Flemming said to color analyst Will Middlebrooks.
Flemming then added that Chisholm is "a bush league player."
After Wells hit a two-run home run to give the Yankees a 9-1 lead, Flemming suggested Morán should fight Chisholm as the baserunner trotted to home plate. Flemming then continued to pile on with his criticism.
"Chisholm, I'm gonna say it, he plays the game the wrong way," Flemming said.
He added: "He's awesome. Jazz is so talented, as I've said so many times, he won them the Wild Card Series last year with his defense."

The Yankees ended up scoring nine runs in the eighth inning en route to a 16-1 victory.
Flemming also voiced his frustrations throughout the game over a controversial fifth inning no-catch call on a play by Red Sox outfielder Ceddanne Rafaela that opened the floodgates for the Yankees.
The Yankees and Red Sox are on a collision course to meet in the AL Wild Card Series, as they comfortably hold the league's top two wild-card seeds. New York defeated Boston 2-1 in the 2025 AL Wild Card Series.
