The Boston Red Sox will activate catcher Adley Rutschman from the injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
"He should be active tomorrow, catching and active tomorrow," Red Sox manager Chad Tracy said following Monday's 2-1 loss to the Blue Jays, according to NESN.
The former No. 1 pick was acquired from the Orioles, along with fellow catcher Jake Rogers, in a seven-player blockbuster trade before the deadline.
Rutschman has played in two minor-league rehab games with Boston's Triple-A affiliate while recovering from wrist inflammation.
The 28-year-old is expected to take over as the Red Sox starting catcher after spending the first five seasons of his career with the Baltimore Orioles.
Rutschman, a three-time All-Star, owns a .251/.331/.433 slash line with eight home runs, 19 doubles, and 47 RBIs this season.
