Colorado Rockies catcher Hunter Goodman is a hot commodity ahead of the trade deadline, with three AL East teams showing interest in acquiring him, sources told The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.
The Tampa Bay Rays, Boston Red Sox, and New York Yankees are all vying for the services of the 26-year-old backstop, who's tied for third in the majors with 31 home runs.
Colorado's front office has been asking for multi-player packages headlined by teams' No. 1 prospects, according to Rosenthal. Outfielder Theo Gillen of the Rays and infielder Franklin Arias of the Red Sox are reportedly among the names who have been discussed.
Goodman would be an upgrade at the catching position for all three clubs, as each of them have received limited production from their respective backstops this season.
