Cease appeared to be favoring his lower body before the Blue Jays removed him.

The 30-year-old owns a 3.05 ERA with 1.21 WHIP and an MLB-leading 92 strikeouts over 62 innings in his first season with Toronto.
Cease has made at least 32 starts per year since 2021.
