Cease lifted with injury in 5th inning vs. Pirates

Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Dylan Cease exited with two outs in the fifth inning against the Pittsburgh Pirates due to injury.

Cease appeared to be favoring his lower body before the Blue Jays removed him.

The 30-year-old owns a 3.05 ERA with 1.21 WHIP and an MLB-leading 92 strikeouts over 62 innings in his first season with Toronto.

Cease has made at least 32 starts per year since 2021.
