The Washington Nationals agreed to a deal with right-hander Zack Littell, sources told ESPN's Kiley McDaniel and Jeff Passan.
The pact is a one-year contract that includes a mutual option, a source told The Baltimore Banner's Andy Kostka.
Littell, 30, made 32 starts for the Tampa Bay Rays and Cincinnati Reds last season, authoring a 3.81 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 186 2/3 innings.
The signing would give the Nationals another veteran arm in their rotation alongside Miles Mikolas, whom Washington signed as a free agent in February.
The Nationals' projected rotation is expected to include Mikolas, Littell, and some combination of Cade Cavalli, Brad Lord, Josiah Gray, and Foster Griffin.
