Tigers reveal 2 new alternate uniforms ahead of 2026 season
The Detroit Tigers are expanding their wardrobe for the 2026 season, revealing two alternate jerseys on Thursday.
For select home games, the Tigers will wear an orange jersey and white pants - the first time in the franchise's 126-year history that orange uniforms will appear on the field in the regular season. For certain road games, Detroit will don navy blue tops paired with gray pants.
Both alternate uniforms feature a distinctive hat with an orange bill and logo. Each jersey also showcases a sleeve patch inspired by the classic circular Tigers logo, a staple of the uniform from 1961 to 1993.

The Tigers' new look follows 18 months of input from fans and players through surveys, focus groups, and testing.
"We're proud to introduce these new uniforms, which have been years in the making," president and CEO of Ilitch Sports + Entertainment Ryan Gustafson said in a statement, per MLB.com's Jason Beck.

Until now, Detroit was one of two teams without a regular alternate uniform in its rotation, aside from the league-mandated City Connect uniforms. With the additions, the New York Yankees are the lone remaining holdouts.
The Tigers will debut their new alternate looks during spring training.
