The Toronto Blue Jays have Kyle Tucker in their sights and remain the favorite to sign the free-agent outfielder, sources told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.

While Tucker's market has been relatively quiet, he reportedly visited Toronto's spring training facility in Dunedin, Florida, in early December.

Tucker, who is from nearby Tampa, is expected to land one of the most lucrative free-agent deals of the winter. Over his eight seasons in the majors, the 28-year-old owns an .865 OPS with 147 home runs and 490 RBIs.

His 25.2 fWAR since 2020 ranks 11th. The 10 players ahead of him have all inked long-term deals.

Tucker spent the 2025 campaign with the Chicago Cubs after they acquired him from the Houston Astros. The outfielder slashed .266/.377/.464 with 22 homers, 73 RBIs, and 25 steals in 136 games.

Toronto has also reportedly been connected to a reunion with shortstop Bo Bichette and free-agent third baseman Alex Bregman as it looks to build upon its 2025 World Series run.

The Blue Jays have been active this offseason, signing starters Dylan Cease and Cody Ponce as well as reliever Tyler Rogers.
