The Detroit Tigers and veteran closer Kyle Finnegan agreed to a two-year, $19-million contract, sources told Robert Murray of FanSided.

Finnegan's deal can reportedly max out at $20 million with incentives.

The 34-year-old was excellent with the Tigers after coming over from the Washington Nationals at the trade deadline. He allowed just three earned runs with four walks and 23 strikeouts in 18 innings en route to helping Detroit reach the playoffs.

Finnegan posted a 3.47 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 24 saves, and 8.7 K/9 over 56 appearances between the Tigers and Nationals in 2025. The right-hander only surrendered four homers in the regular season.

The 2024 All-Star has recorded 112 saves over six years in the majors.
