The Boston Red Sox are casting a wide net in their offseason search for infield help.

The Red Sox have talked to the Texas Rangers about two-time World Series MVP Corey Seager, the Houston Astros in regards to All-Star third baseman Isaac Paredes, and the St. Louis Cardinals about All-Star second baseman Brendan Donovan, a source told Tim Healey of The Boston Globe.

Negotiations on a Seager trade don't have any momentum, a source told WEEI's Rob Bradford. The five-time All-Star is still owed $189 million over six years after signing a 10-year, $325-million pact in December 2021.

The Red Sox also reportedly discussed a potential deal for Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte.

The club has the resources to make a Marte trade happen, reports Ari Alexander of 7News Boston. A source told Alexander there's a 50-50 chance the 2024 NL MVP finalist gets dealt.

The Red Sox reportedly met with shortstop Bo Bichette over Zoom. However, the team is not in on the two-time All-Star unless his market changes, according to Julian McWilliams of CBS Sports.

Seager went deep 21 times with 50 RBIs and an .860 OPS in 102 games during the 2025 season.

Parades recorded 20 homers with an .809 OPS over 102 contests, while Donovan slashed .287/.353/.422 with 10 long balls across 118 games.
