Report: Orioles interested in Suárez, King, Imai
The Baltimore Orioles have been busy this offseason and are expected to target starting pitching at the winter meetings, according to The Baltimore Banner's Andy Kostka.
Baltimore has expressed interest in Ranger Suárez, Michael King, and Tatsuya Imai, sources told Kostka. The Orioles have also been connected to former Houston Astros ace Framber Valdez.
Those four are among the top starting options available in free agency.
Baltimore has already made several moves this offseason, notably acquiring Taylor Ward, Ryan Helsley, and Andrew Kittredge, but starting pitching remains a concern.
The Orioles are projected to begin 2026 with Kyle Bradish, Trevor Rogers, Dean Kremer, Tyler Wells, and Cade Povich in the rotation after trading Grayson Rodriguez to the Los Angeles Angels to acquire Ward.
Their rotation ranked 25th in FIP and 26th in ERA last season. The team finished last in the AL East and fired manager Brandon Hyde in the middle of the campaign.
