The Toronto Blue Jays brought free-agent outfielder Kyle Tucker to their facility in Dunedin, Florida, for a visit Wednesday, sources told FanSided's Robert Murray.

Tucker, who hails from nearby Tampa Bay, is expected to land a lucrative contract as arguably the top free-agent slugger available.

The 28-year-old left-handed hitter slashed .266/.377/.464 with 22 home runs, 73 RBIs, and 25 stolen bases in 136 games with the Chicago Cubs last season. It marked Tucker's fifth straight campaign posting at least 4.5 WAR and an OPS above .800. He played the first seven years of his career with the Houston Astros before getting traded to the Cubs last offseason.

Toronto's outfield options include Daulton Varsho, George Springer, Addison Barger, Nathan Lukes, and Anthony Santander. However, the team primarily used Springer as a designated hitter last season, and Barger can play third base.

Infielder Bo Bichette is Toronto's most prominent free agent, and both sides have expressed interest in a reunion. It's unclear if the club could afford both Bichette and Tucker.

The Blue Jays have been one of the busiest teams to begin free agency, adding right-handers Dylan Cease and Cody Ponce to bolster their pitching staff.
