TORONTO, ON - NOVEMBER 01: Bo Bichette #11 of the Toronto Blue Jays walks to the dugout from the clubhouse prior to Game Seven of the 2025 World Series presented by Capital One between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre on Saturday, November 1, 2025 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The Toronto Blue Jays fell one win short of the franchise's first World Series championship in 32 years and it sounds like pending free agent Bo Bichette wants to stay with the club.

"I've said I want to be here from the beginning," Bichette told reporters when asked if losing Game 7 to the Los Angeles Dodgers made him want to spend his future with the Blue Jays.

"I wish we could've won it together. Wish we could've shared that moment together. To share the moment with everybody would've been special," Bichette said.

Bichette missed the final month of the campaign and most of the postseason with a knee sprain, but gutted through the injury to post a .922 OPS with eight hits in the World Series, including a three-run home run in Game 7.

The two-time All-Star enters free agency as the top shortstop available and should have a solid market after a terrific campaign where he finished second in the American League in hits, doubles, and batting average.

If Bichette does leave the Blue Jays in free agency, the 27-year-old admitted he'll never forget the 2025 club he was a part of.

"I'll remember this group forever," Bichette said. "I think this group taught me what a team is. I think it was the most valuable lesson of my career. They mean a ton to me."

MLB free agency will officially open Nov. 6.
