The Toronto Blue Jays didn't include shortstop Bo Bichette on their American League Championship Series roster ahead of Game 1 against the Seattle Mariners on Sunday.
The Blue Jays did include starters Max Scherzer and Chris Bassitt on the ALCS roster after both right-handers were left off in the ALDS. They replaced Justin Bruihl and Tommy Nance.

Bichette last appeared in a big-league game Sept. 6, when he sprained his knee in a home-plate collision versus the New York Yankees.
The 27-year-old ran the bases Saturday for the first time since the injury, but it doesn't appear the Blue Jays were confident enough in his progress to let him play against Seattle.

Bichette is expected to take a day off from running before continuing to build back up.
"(He) didn't set himself back by any means, just wasn't ready to go," manager John Schneider said Sunday, according to Sportsnet's Shi Davidi.
Andrés Giménez, who started at shortstop in all four games of the division series versus the Yankees, is in the starting lineup at short Sunday.
Bichette was one of Toronto's most effective hitters before getting injured, slashing .311/.357/.483 and finishing second in the AL in hits (181) and doubles (44). He'll be a free agent at the end of the season.
