Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Tanner Scott is off the NLDS roster after undergoing a lower-body abscess procedure, manager Dave Roberts announced Thursday, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic.
Roberts added that Scott wasn't at Dodger Stadium for Wednesday's 8-2 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 3 because the left-hander had to resolve the "urgent matter."
Left-hander Justin Wrobleski will replace Scott for the remainder of the series.
Scott, who signed a four-year, $72-million deal in the offseason, won't be able to return until the World Series if the Dodgers advance to the Fall Classic.
The 2024 All-Star hasn't pitched in the postseason after posting a 4.74 ERA with 23 saves over 61 regular-season appearances.
