The Brewers added that Chourio will be evaluated further throughout the day.
Chourio was sidelined for most of August due to a right hamstring strain.
"It's scary. It's the same hamstring and so we're worried about it," Brewers manager Pat Murphy said, according to Hunter Baumgardt of 97.3 The Game.
Prior to the injury, the 21-year-old became the first player in MLB history to record three hits in the first two innings of a postseason game as the Brewers jumped out to a 6-1 lead after the opening frame.
Chourio went deep 21 times with 78 RBIs, 21 stolen bases, and a .770 OPS over 131 games in the regular season for the NL Central-winning Brewers. He finished third in 2024 NL Rookie of the Year voting.
