The Detroit Tigers placed right-hander Kyle Finnegan on the 15-day injured list with a right adductor strain, the team announced Friday.

Finnegan appeared to sustain the injury while warming up in the bullpen Wednesday.

Finnegan has been terrific for the Tigers since they acquired him from the Washington Nationals at the trade deadline. The 34-year-old has allowed three hits and no runs to go along with four saves in 12 games for Detroit.

The Tigers reinstated outfielder Parker Meadows in a corresponding move.

Meadows hasn't played since July 27 because of an injured quad. He's in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Chicago White Sox.
