New York Mets manager Carlos Mendoza wasn't happy that a Jesse Winker ground ball was ruled a lineout, which resulted in the Washington Nationals turning a triple play in the fourth inning of Friday's game.

"Yeah, that's just frustrating," Mendoza said after the 5-4 loss when asked if he wished that was a reviewable play, according to SNY. "A play like that with so much impact. Not only in that inning but in the game. It's first and second (with) nobody out, and before you know it you're out of the inning. There's nothing you can do about it. I was asking for them to get together."
Mendoza added, "They said if somebody would've saw it, somebody would've just gone to (first base umpire) Alfonso (Márquez). That's my frustration there. ... There's three more guys there. Somebody should be able to make that call."
The defeat halted New York's seven-game winning streak.
