The Los Angeles Angels and veteran closer Kenley Jansen agreed to a one-year, $10-million contract, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post.
Jansen posted a 3.29 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 22 saves, and 62 strikeouts over 54 appearances for the Boston Red Sox last season.
The four-time All-Star ranks fourth in MLB history with 447 career saves, trailing Lee Smith by 31 for third all time.
Jansen should help an Angels bullpen that finished with the fourth-worst fWAR in baseball during the 2024 campaign.
The 37-year-old right-hander owns a career 2.57 ERA with 12.7 K/9 across a combined 868 1/3 innings over 15 years between the Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, and Red Sox.
