Dodgers' Glasnow: 'Extremely frustrating' to miss playoffs with injury
Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Tyler Glasnow is disappointed to miss out on the postseason as a result of a sprained elbow.
"It’s extremely frustrating," Glasnow said Friday, per The Associated Press. "I wanted to come here to win a World Series and pitch in the postseason."
The 31-year-old was moved to the 60-day injured list earlier this week, putting an end to his first campaign in Los Angeles.
Glasnow reached a career high of 134 innings pitched this season. His previous high was 120 in 2023 as he's dealt with injuries throughout his career.
The Dodgers acquired Glasnow from the Tampa Bay Rays in the offseason, quickly signing him to a five-year, $136.5-million contract extension.
He posted a 9-6 record with a 3.49 ERA and 168 strikeouts in 22 starts for the Dodgers in 2024.
