The Colorado Rockies placed Kris Bryant on the injured list with a back strain, the club announced Monday.
The IL stint is Bryant's third this season. The 32-year-old also missed time with a rib contusion and another back strain earlier this year.
Bryant has dealt with injuries throughout his tenure with the Rockies. He's played only 159 games since signing a seven-year, $182-million contract ahead of the 2022 campaign.
Bryant is hitting .218 with two home runs, 15 RBIs, and a .624 OPS in 37 games this season. The four-time All-Star has 17 home runs and a .713 OPS across 671 at-bats during parts of three seasons with the Rockies.
