Washington Nationals left-hander MacKenzie Gore and third baseman Nick Senzel got into a shoving match in their team's dugout during the bottom of the second inning of Friday's game against the Miami Marlins.

The two teammates could be seen jawing at each another before the shoving occurred.
Gore allowed a run in the top half of the inning after Nick Fortes hit a grounder to Senzel at third. Fortes, a catcher, beat out Senzel's throw, which didn't appear to have much zip behind it.
"Why didn't he throw it any harder than that? He lobbed it," broadcasters said of Senzel's throw following the play.
Senzel said he and Gore "worked it out internally" and "it's no one else's business" after the Nationals defeated the Marlins 8-1, according to 106.7 The Fan's Tobi Altizer.
Gore got into a similar fiery exchange with Victor Robles in June 2023 after the pitcher was unhappy with the outfielder's effort during a game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
