New York Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodón feels more comfortable in the Big Apple during his second year.
"I sit down in the dugout now and I look around, I feel pretty comfortable sitting in this stadium. ... I'm like, this doesn't feel overwhelming anymore. This feels like home, which is nice," Rodón said, per Greg Joyce of the New York Post.
Rodón joined the Yankees on a six-year, $162-million deal in the 2022 offseason. He struggled through an injury-riddled debut campaign, posting a career-worst 6.85 ERA across 64 1/3 innings.
He's rebounded nicely to begin 2024. Pitching six innings of two-run ball in Sunday's 7-2 win over the Chicago White Sox lowered his season ERA and WHIP to 3.27 and 1.20, respectively.
The Yankees improved to an AL-best 33-15 with the victory, the team's seventh in a row. The club is 14-3 in May.
Rodón is lined up to make his next start Friday in San Diego against the Padres following a four-game series versus the Seattle Mariners.
