Angels place Rendon on IL with hamstring injury
The Los Angeles Angels placed third baseman Anthony Rendon on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain, the club announced Sunday.
Rendon departed Saturday's game against the Cincinnati Reds after suffering the injury on an infield single in the first inning.

Rendon said postgame that his hamstring is feeling "not too great," according to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com.
"Frustration. Anger. Mad. Any of those adjectives you want to use," Rendon added when asked about the injury.
The 33-year-old has drawn criticism for his play since signing a seven-year, $245-million contract with the Angels in 2020, recording just 22 homers with the team over five years. Multiple significant injuries have limited Rendon to 219 games across that time.
Rendon also said during the offseason that baseball has "never been a top priority" for him.
The former All-Star is slashing .267/.325/.307 with no homers and three RBIs over 19 games this season.
