The Milwaukee Brewers placed outfielder Christian Yelich on the 10-day injured list with a low back strain, the team announced Tuesday.

The move is retroactive to April 13. Yelich hasn't played since April 12 because of the injury.

Yelich has no idea how long he will be sidelined by his injured back.

"It's frustrating because a lot of work has gone into feeling good," he said, according to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. "At the same time, it's like, just get healthy and try to pick back up where you left off."

The 32-year-old former MVP is off to a good start for the division-leading Brewers, slashing .333/.422/.744 with five home runs and 11 RBIs in 11 games. He leads the team in homers, slugging percentage, and OPS.

Milwaukee recalled infielder/outfielder Owen Miller in a corresponding move.
