The San Diego Padres and outfielder Jurickson Profar agreed to a one-year, $1-million contract, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.

Profar played the majority of last season with the Colorado Rockies but rejoined the Padres in September after he was released. He also suited up for San Diego between 2020-22.

The 30-year-old hit nine homers with 46 RBIs and a .689 OPS over 125 games in 2023. However, he slashed .243/.331/.391 with 15 round-trippers, 58 RBIs, and a career-high 36 doubles across 152 contests with the Padres during the 2022 campaign.

Profar, who's started 320 games in left field over his 10-year career, gives San Diego some much-needed experience in the outfield. The club was very thin among starters outside of Fernando Tatís Jr. and could probably use at least one more MLB-caliber outfielder.
