Excluding special Canadian editions, Guerrero becomes the second Blue Jay to grace the cover of the game following Josh Donaldson in 2016. The Montreal native is also the first Canadian-born player to land the cover spot.
The 24-year-old is following in the footsteps of his Hall of Fame father. Vladimir Guerrero Sr. was on the cover of MLB 2006, a predecessor game to "The Show" series, when he played for the Los Angeles Angels.

Guerrero Jr., the reigning Home Run Derby champion, is a three-time All-Star in five big-league seasons and owns a lifetime .844 OPS with 130 home runs and 404 RBIs. However, he's coming off a down year that saw him hit just .264/.345/.444 with 26 homers in 156 games with the Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays and Guerrero will square off in an arbitration hearing to determine his 2024 salary in early February. Guerrero is asking for $19.9 million, while the team countered at $18.05 million. He's slated to become a free agent after the 2025 season.
