D-Backs sign Eduardo Rodriguez to 4-year deal reportedly worth $80M
The Arizona Diamondbacks announced Friday the signing of left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez to a four-year contract with a conditional option in 2028.
Rodriguez's deal is worth $80 million with a vesting option that can take it to $100 million over five years, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
As has been widely reported Eduardo Rodriguez has reached agreement with the Diamondbacks. 4-$80M 5th-yr option triggers at 150IP in 2027 and makes it $100M in total over 5 years if triggered.

The pact also includes a 10-team, no-trade clause, according to Heyman.
The 30-year-old became a free agent this offseason after opting out of the last three years of his pact with the Detroit Tigers. He would've made $49 million over the remainder of that contract if he stayed with his old team.
Rodriguez posted a 3.30 ERA with 1.15 WHIP and 143 strikeouts over 152 2/3 innings (26 starts) in 2023.
The eight-year veteran joins a strong D-Backs rotation led by Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly.
Arizona, who made a surprise run to the World Series before losing to the Texas Rangers, already traded for slugger Eugenio Suárez in late November.
