The free-agent market for right-hander Lucas Giolito is beginning to take shape.

Giolito is drawing interest from five teams, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Kansas City Royals, according to MLB Network's Jon Morosi.

The 29-year-old Giolito is a free agent for the first time after spending most of the last seven seasons with the Chicago White Sox.

After a rough 2022 on the South Side, Giolito pitched well for them to begin the 2023 season, authoring a 3.79 ERA with a 9.7 K/9 in 21 starts before he was traded to the Los Angeles Angels in July.

Giolito struggled in Anaheim, going 1-5 with a 6.81 FIP before the Cleveland Guardians claimed him off waivers in August. He didn't fare well in Cleveland either, posting a 7.04 ERA in six starts.

The California native is still expected to secure a multi-year deal in free agency due to a lack of available starting pitchers beyond Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Blake Snell, Jordan Montgomery, and Eduardo Rodriguez.
