The Milwaukee Brewers are bringing back a veteran member of their rotation, agreeing to a one-year contract with left-hander Wade Miley, the club announced Monday.

The pact comes with a mutual option for the 2025 campaign.

The agreement has a base salary of $7 million in 2024 with a $12-million mutual option for 2025, sources told ESPN's Jesse Rogers. The contract reportedly carries a $1.5-million buyout plus incentives, which can bring the total value to $11 million.

Miley pitched for the Brewers in 2023 and became a free agent when his mutual option was declined.

The 37-year-old enjoyed a strong season for the Brewers in 2023, posting a 9-4 record with a 3.14 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 79 strikeouts across 120 1/3 innings.

Miley owns a 108-98 record with a 4.06 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 1,359 strikeouts during his 13-year MLB career.
