Morneau went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Royals on Wednesday.
The ninth-inning home run actually ended a 0-for-18 skid and was just his second over an 18-game span after opening the month of August with six homers in the first 10 games of the month. Batting just .261 on the year with less power and a strikeout rate headed in the wrong direction, Morneau is a risky play over the final month of the season.
