MLB postseason bracket set, game times announced

The 2023 Major League Baseball playoffs are set after seeding came down to the final day of the regular season.

American League

1. Baltimore Orioles
2. Houston Astros

The Orioles clinched the league's top seed and home-field advantage through the ALCS. It's the first time Baltimore has reached triple-digit wins since 1980. The Astros claimed the second seed after winning the AL West on Sunday.

The Twins secured the top wild-card seed by virtue of being the third-best division winner after claiming the AL Central. Minnesota, who is winless in its last 18 playoff games, hosts Toronto for a best-of-three series despite finishing with a worse record. The Blue Jays went 3-3 against the Twins this season. The Rays locked up the No. 4 seed after failing to catch the Orioles and will host the Rangers. Tampa Bay went 2-4 against Texas.

Atlanta has home-field advantage though the World Series after finishing with MLB's best record.

The Brewers are the top wild-card seed as they were the third-best division winner and claimed the NL Central. Milwaukee welcomes Arizona after going 2-4 against the Diamondbacks during the regular season. The Phillies, who represented the NL in the World Series last season, will host the Marlins. Philadelphia went 6-7 against its division rival.
