New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor added to his solid 2023 campaign Wednesday by joining the 30-30 club for the first time in his career.
Lindor clinched his milestone season with a long home run off Miami Marlins pitcher Johnny Cueto in the second game of a doubleheader. It was his second homer of the nightcap and third on the day after he'd clubbed one in the first game.

Lindor is the fourth Mets player to go 30-30 with the club, joining David Wright in 2007, Darryl Strawberry in 1987, and three-time 30-30 man Howard Johnson. It's his fourth time reaching 30 homers in a season but his first since joining the Mets in 2021. His 30 steals were already a personal best.
Lindos is also the third player in the majors to produce such a season in 2023, joining Seattle's Julio Rodriguez and the Braves' Ronald Acuna Jr., the inaugural member of baseball's 40-60 club. The MLB record for most 30-30 players in one season is four, which was done in 1987, 1996, 1997, and 2011.
Lindor, 29, is now hitting .254/.334/.469 with 96 RBIs, 104 runs scored, and 65 extra-base hits in 156 games for the Mets this season.
