Hyun Jin Ryu is set to return to an MLB mound for the first time since June 2022.

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Friday that Ryu will make his season debut Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles, according to Scott Mitchell of TSN.

Schneider added the left-hander won't have any restrictions after coming back from Tommy John surgery.

The club plans to use a six-man rotation for now.

Ryu was originally expected to miss 12-to-18 months after undergoing revision UCL reconstruction with a flexor tendon repair in mid-June of last year.

The 36-year-old is in the last season of a four-year, $80-million contract he signed before the 2020 campaign. The two-time All-Star owns a career 3.27 ERA and finished as a Cy Young finalist in back-to-back years with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Blue Jays in 2019 and 2020.
