Cooperstown has two new members.
Scott Rolen and Fred McGriff were officially inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday.
Rolen received 76.3% of the vote from the Baseball Writers' Association of America in his sixth year of eligibility on the ballot, while McGriff was elected unanimously by the Contemporary Baseball Era Players Committee.

Rolen spent his 17-year career between the Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, and Toronto Blue Jays. He slashed .281/.364/.490 with 316 homers and 1,287 RBIs while playing 2,033 of his 2,038 games at third base. The seven-time All-Star and eight-time Gold Glove winner also won a World Series with the Cardinals in 2006.

Cardinals legend Albert Pujols said Rolen played a big role in shaping his own career:

Meanwhile, McGriff went deep 493 times with 1,550 RBIs over 19 seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, San Diego Padres, Atlanta Braves, Tampa Bay Rays, Chicago Cubs, and Los Angeles Dodgers. The five-time All-Star finished his career with a .284/.377/.509 slash line over 2,460 games. He also won a World Series with the Braves in 1995.

McGriff acknowledged that he'll forever remember when he became a member of the Hall of Fame:
