Arizona Diamondbacks star outfielder Corbin Carroll left Thursday's contest against the New York Mets in the seventh inning due to right shoulder discomfort, manager Torey Lovullo said postgame, according to Cameron Cox of Arizona's 12 News.
The National League Rookie of the Year front-runner reached for his right shoulder after taking a swing and was immediately attended to by a trainer.

Lovullo added that Carroll's shoulder checked out fine for strength and stability when he met with doctors but that he'll undergo an MRI on Friday.
"It's definitely a red flag … more so than it was four-to-five days ago," Lovullo said. "He definitely felt something. I don't know how many games he'll miss or if he'll go on IL."
Carroll also left a June 29 game against the Rays with right shoulder soreness.
The 22-year-old, who entered the game hitting .292/.367/.563 with 18 home runs, 46 RBIs, and 24 steals, had labrum surgery on his right shoulder in 2021.
He was voted into this season's All-Star Game as a starter for the NL.
