The Atlanta Braves' nine-game win streak has been Fry-ed.
Cleveland Guardians catcher David Fry almost single-handedly sunk the red-hot Braves on Tuesday, playing hero on both sides of the ball during an extra-inning thriller at Progressive Field.
Fry flashed the glove in the top of the 10th. Atlanta's Eddie Rosario appeared to have tallied a sacrifice fly to score the go-ahead run, but Guardians center fielder Myles Straw uncorked a cannon from center field to make the play close. Fry took the throw to the first-base side of home and then flew back across to tag Sam Hilliard for the third out.

In the bottom of the 10th, Fry came to the plate with two out and a runner on second and ripped a line drive over Rosario's head in left field to score Amed Rosario, giving Cleveland a hard-fought 6-5 victory.

It was Fry's first walk-off hit and just the 12th of his brief big-league career. The 27-year-old has only played in 25 games since being called up by the Guardians in May.
Fry's heroics handed Atlanta only its second loss in its last 19 games.
