New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone isn't letting his recent punishment deter him in any way.

Boone was forced to sit out Friday's game while serving a suspension for "recent conduct." The incident stemmed from his MLB-leading fourth ejection during Thursday's contest.

"I'm not going to change," the skipper said Saturday, according to The Associated Press. "Even though I have been kicked out of a lot of games, a lot of them I make it through. So, maybe just being better at knowing where that line is."

Boone also led the majors in ejections last year, getting tossed nine times. Additionally, he co-led the American League with six ejections in 2021.

"Seemed to be a little bit of a change of direction there, but look, I got kicked out a few times in a week," Boone continued. "I don't want that. Certainly, they don't want that, but, you know, just kind of move from it."

Through 760 games as an MLB manager, Boone has been thrown out 30 times, ranking sixth among active skippers. He's only behind Bruce Bochy (78), Bob Melvin (55), Terry Francona (47), Bud Black (35), and Buck Showalter (34), all of whom have managed more than 2200 games.

The Yankees are off to a decent but underwhelming start in their AL East title defense, sitting third with a 30-23 record. They're eight games back of the first-place Tampa Bay Rays and currently mired in a three-game losing streak.
