Los Angeles Angels manager Phil Nevin announced Sunday that catcher Logan O'Hoppe will likely miss the next four-to-six months with a torn labrum in his left shoulder, according to The Athletic's Sam Blum.
O'Hoppe was forced to leave Thursday's game against the New York Yankees after he injured his shoulder on a swing.

He originally tweaked his shoulder during a game on Monday against the Red Sox but stayed in. Nevin admitted there was some damage done after O'Hoppe suffered the initial injury but defended how the team handled the situation.
"It had nothing to do with how we went about it," Nevin said, according to Blum.
The 23-year-old was off to a fast start in his first full MLB season, slashing .283/.339/.547 with four home runs and 13 RBIs across 16 games.
The Angels will turn to veterans Matt Thaiss and Chad Wallach behind the plate with Max Stassi yet to appear in a game this season due to a hip injury.
