The Los Angeles Dodgers signed 2022 All-Star right-hander Tony Gonsolin to a two-year contract through the 2024 season for $6.65 million, the team announced.

The deal has escalators for 2024’s base salary based off starts in 2023: $500K each for 14, 16, 18, 20, 24 and 28 games starts.

Gonsolin was arbitration eligible and projected to earn $3.5 million for the upcoming season before inking his new deal.
The 28-year-old had the best season of his career in 2022, going 16-1 with a 2.14 ERA in 24 starts spanning 130 1/3 innings.
Gonsolin has been incredibly productive in a variety of roles for the Dodgers since debuting in 2019. He owns a .813 winning percentage in 59 games - 51 starts - along with a 2.51 ERA, 3.45 FIP, and 0.99 WHIP.
The California native is expected to be fully healthy entering spring training after he was sidelined with a forearm strain that limited his workload at the end of last season.
