Report: Red Sox pitcher Houck generating trade interest

Tanner Houck is a popular name on the trade market.

The Boston Red Sox have received a lot of interest in the right-hander despite not actively looking to deal him this offseason, a source told MassLive's Chris Cotillo.

Boston was reportedly open to trading away rotation pieces in late December.

Houck would likely bring back a solid haul since he's under team control through the 2027 campaign.

The 26-year-old owns a career 3.02 ERA with 1.12 WHIP and 10.1 K/9 over 53 appearances (20 starts) since debuting with the Red Sox in 2020.
