The San Diego Padres and left-hander Josh Hader avoided arbitration by settling on a $14.1-million salary for 2023, a source told FanSided's Robert Murray.
It's the largest salary given to a reliever in arbitration history.
Hader earned $11 million during the roughest season of his big-league career last year, authoring a 5.22 ERA in 50 innings for the Milwaukee Brewers and Padres.
He still maintained an impressive 14.6 K/9 and saved 36 games.
Hader is eligible for free agency at the end of the 2023 season.
