Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds is a popular name on the trade market.
The Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Seattle Mariners, Miami Marlins, and New York Yankees are interested in acquiring the 2021 All-Star, reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
The Rangers are considering trading for Reynolds and signing another outfielder such as AJ Pollock or David Peralta, according to Rosenthal.
However, major-league executives reportedly doubt a deal involving Reynolds will happen before Opening Day.
The Pirates offered Reynolds a six-year, $75-million extension with no team options but the player's camp was seeking something closer to the eight-year, $168-million deal Matt Olson inked with the Atlanta Braves, sources told Jon Heyman of the New York Post.
The 27-year-old asked for a trade out of Pittsburgh at the beginning of December, but the team didn't publicly reveal why he wanted to be dealt. The club lost 100 games for a second straight season in 2022.
Reynolds owns a career .281/.361/.461 slash line with 74 homers, 18 triples, and 239 RBIs over four years with the Pirates.
