The Oakland Athletics agreed to a two-year deal with utility player Jace Peterson, sources told FanSided's Robert Murray.
The financials of the deal aren't yet known.
Peterson spent the past three seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers, hitting .238/.337/.373 with 16 home runs, 26 doubles, 70 RBIs, and 23 steals in 232 games.
The 32-year-old appeared at six different positions defensively last season, with the majority of his reps coming at third base.
Peterson is the first major-league signing by the A's this offseason.
