Xander Bogaerts, Carlos Correa, Jacob deGrom, Carlos Rodon, Jurickson Profar, Nelson Cruz, Taijuan Walker, Zach Davies, and Robert Suarez are officially free agents after exercising opt-out clauses, declining player options, or having their 2023 options declined, the MLBPA announced Monday.

There are now 140 players on the open market after 131 major leaguers became free agents Sunday. Free agents can't sign with a new team until Thursday.

Bogaerts, who's spent his entire 10-year career with the Boston Red Sox, slashed .307/.377/.456 with 15 homers and 73 RBIs over 150 games in 2022. He's a four-time All-Star, four-time Silver Slugger, and two-time World Series champion.

The 30-year-old joins a very deep shortstop pool that includes Correa, Trea Turner, and Dansby Swanson.

DeGrom, 34, accrued a 3.08 ERA with 14.3 K/9 over 11 starts (64 1/3 innings) with the New York Mets last season. The two-time Cy Young winner will likely be the top starting pitcher available in free agency despite injury concerns.

Rodon will be another top pitching target after a stellar All-Star campaign with the San Francisco Giants. The left-hander posted a 2.88 ERA with 237 strikeouts over 178 innings while amassing 6.2 fWAR - the second-highest total among MLB hurlers.
