Scherzer pulled during perfect game in return from IL
Scherzer exited the game after throwing 68 pitches. The 38-year-old was making his first start since returning from the injured list with left oblique irritation.
Scherzer, who earned the 200th win of his career, has been terrific in his first season in New York. He owns a 2.15 ERA and 0.88 WHIP with 162 strikeouts in 133 2/3 innings across 21 starts.
