Liddi was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday, the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Following the activation of Justin Smoak (oblique) from the DL, Liddi's presence was no longer required on the Mariners. During his stay with the big club, Liddi picked up just one hit in 17 at-bats, as his power stroke -- nine homers in 206 at-bats at Tacoma this season -- did not translate to the majors.
