The Arizona Diamondbacks are signing free-agent left-hander Dallas Keuchel to a minor-league contract, sources told Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
Keuchel, the 2015 AL Cy Young winner, was released by the Chicago White Sox at the end of May after posting a 7.88 ERA and 6.20 FIP over eight starts this season.
The 34-year-old will reunite with pitching coach Brent Strom in Arizona. The duo spent five years together with the Houston Astros.
Keuchel owns a career 3.86 ERA with 1.30 WHIP and 1,193 strikeouts over 11 years in the majors with the Astros, White Sox, and Atlanta Braves. He's a two-time All-Star and five-time Gold Glove winner.
